Larry Tyler
After a successful 30 year career in commercial and business lending, working with clients across many different industries, Larry founded UP YOUR BUSINESS LLC in 2009, a business
coaching organization. He offers his clients a relationship built on trust that creates opportunities for change.
His experienced insights with business owner – lender relationships enables him to provide his clients with expertise and a grasp of the inner workings of lending institutions and borrowing money that few other coaches can match. Larry’s ability to analyze and diagnose financial trends and cash flow enables the business owner to see his/her company in a significantly different light, one from a lender’s perspective. Larry is an affiliate of the Rainforest Business Institute, a business coaching organization that uses the rainforest as a business model because the rainforest is the most fruitful, diverse, and abundant eco-system (business) on the planet. Larry’s unique approach to coaching encompasses:
- Defining and understanding the business owner’s vision, strengths, market, challenges and goals.
- Building trust and openness to encourage frankness and willingness in disclosure of fears, worries, disappointments and doubts that hinder success.
- Guiding the business owner thru targeted questioning to recognize and choose vital changes.
- Commitment to ‘stay the course’ in partnering with the business owner to create a customized and sound system for optimal use of resources, tapping employee potential and maximizing productivity.
- Establishing and growing a strong supportive business network that acts both as an information resource and as an instrument for growing the business’s market.
Larry has a servant approach to leadership and uses empathy, a light sense of humor, optimism and encouragement to inspire others to discover their inherent greatness. He believes business is all about relationships and listens with both his head and his heart. As a coach he believes in calling it like he sees it, delivering it in a way that inspires and motivates. He is tenacious in identifying and eradicating the root of a problem rather than just ‘fixing’ the symptoms.
Larry’s favorite quote is a powerful one that summarizes his approach to coaching:
“The significant problems we face today cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.” Albert Einstein
